When you consider that as a landlord you are giving what could be your biggest asset to an agent to let it is surprising how many people focus purely on the fee. When you book a holiday or buy a new car the price obviously plays a part, but it is not the main consideration. There are some agents that are now so big they run most of their operation from a call centre which means the person you end up speaking to will not have met you nor would they have seen your property or met the tenant. At the other end of the spectrum are the small ‘one man bands’, some of which are perfectly professional and able to manage your property however there are still some rogue agents out there who do not protect their clients’ money or register deposits correctly.

We are members of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents) and as such, follow a strict code of conduct giving you peace of mind that you are protected. We don’t use call centres so the member of staff that visits you initially to discuss the rental market and rental value of your property will remain your main point of contact throughout the marketing process and carry out the viewings. They will then negotiate with prospective tenants on your behalf and ensure you are happy with the terms set out in the tenancy agreement. If we fully manage your property, our very experienced Lettings Assistant will be inspecting your property every three months and will oversee the tenancy renewal at the end of the fixed term, however your main point of contact will always be available should you need to speak to them.
Residential Lettings is all about dealing with property, but more importantly it is about dealing with the people that own and rent the property. We feel that landlords and tenants need to be able to speak to someone who has been involved with the tenancy from the very start and not deal with a stranger in a call centre.
