On boxing day last year over 1,625,000 people visited Rightmove to look at the properties available, this then grew to 1,985,000 on New Year’s Day, peaking at 2,489,000 on the first working day of January. This is great news for those already on the market in the lead up to Christmas. For those who have been delaying a house sale until January, it may be worth considering a brief introduction this side of Christmas in order to maximise the web viewings. Alternatively, it’s definitely worth taking time to consider your moving plans over the Christmas break so that you can hit the ground running in the New Year.
Last year saw an uptake of 26% in Rightmove traffic during January, which proves it to be a prime selling time.
